Our story
I started the story of Zeta Dancewear from Z to A, because I was fascinated by the idea of contributing to tailoring a world of dance open to all, which is about joy, self-expression, connection and evolution - not about perfection.
A world where the freedom to refine your creative and personal point of view, to look in the mirror with kindness and to bravely explore your qualities alongside your limitations is as spontaneous as compulsively twirling in an irresistible skirt to be rolled up, like oversized cotton candy, with lots and lots of sequins glittering in all the colors of the rainbow.
I hit the road on this adventure with the intention of learning a lot and having a great time making all kinds of joyous fun, accessible to dancers big and small who want to look, feel and dance delightfully.
Or, as Ingrid Fetell Lee (along with other women far wiser than I) summarizes in her book about the extraordinary power of ordinary things to bring happiness:
" We are here to do more than earn our bread between birth and death and to perform our routine jobs. We are here, as Diane Ackerman writes, to live not only throughout life, but also sideways, in depth. We are here to see rainbows and paint them, to feel emotions and be fascinated, to eat the second cookie if that's what we want. And, occasionally, to feel the truth of Mae West's famous aphorism, namely that "too much" of a good thing can be wonderful".
